GruberCare™ MR GCA Polymer Release Agent is specifically formulated for Glass Reinforced Polymers (GRP) applications such as open molded glass reinforced polyesters and vinyl esters - as well as certain closed molding applications. GruberCare MR GCA enables a high gloss finish to be obtained easily and with minimal effort. GruberCare MR GCA also offers excellent durability and multiple release performance. It also releases gelcoated glass reinforced polyester (GRP) or vinyl ester parts from gelcoated molds. GruberCare MR GCA is an advanced polymeric resin in a non-chlorinated organic solvent blend. The product is easy and quick to apply and produces a high gloss durable finish capable of giving many releases before re-application is necessary. GruberCare MR GCA does not require a sealer on seasoned molds already using a polymer-based release system.

Note: The polymeric resin used in GruberCare MR GCA reacts with moisture. Please ensure can is resealed after use. GruberCare MR GCA is supplied ready to use, no shaking or mixing is required. Do not mix with other products or solvents. For new, porous or damaged molds, GruberCare MR Sealer CA or GruberCare MR Sealer CA should be used prior to applying the GruberCare MR GCA. Instructions for Use:
Please read Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) before use. If necessary, polish mold to desired level of gloss. If a wax or silicone based release agent has been used previously, remove all traces of previous product using an solvent based cleaner such as GruberCare MR Stripper CA. GruberCare MR GCA can be applied over existing semi-permanent release agents without a further cleaning step. However, the mold should be clean and dry before use. Mold cleaning and release agent application should be performed in a well ventilated area.
Apply GruberCare MR GCA to clean, dry cotton cloth (certain synthetic cloths are also suitable; please contact Gruber Systems for more details).
Gently wipe over mold surface covering an area of approximately 1-2 m2. Vigorous rubbing or polishing is not required.
Wait for 10-15 seconds then, with a second dry cotton cloth, gently wipe over the wet coating to leave a thin wet film. Do not wipe dry. Vigorous rubbing or polishing is not required.
Repeat Steps 1 to 3 on the adjacent area. Ensure a good overlap with the previous area to provide complete coverage.
Repeat until mold is completely coated.
When dry, allow a further 10 minutes between coats for the film to cure.
Repeat Steps 1-6 above for a further three coats (four total).
When dry, allow final film to cure for at least 30 minutes at room temperature before molding. Allowing a longer cure or heat curing (e.g. 15 minutes at 140°F / 60°C) will improve film durability.
When release becomes hesitant, re-apply one coat of GruberCare MR GCA in the same manner as described above.
